Connect Hubdoc to Google Drive
Overview
- Connect your Hubdoc organisation to Google Drive for backup document storage.
- Change where Hubdoc documents are saved in Google Drive.
- You can only connect to personal folders in Google Drive, not shared team folders.
Connect your Hubdoc organisation to Google Drive
- Log in to Hubdoc and open your organisation.
- Click the settings icon, then select the Integrations tab.
- Under Cloud Storage, next to the Google Drive logo, click Connect.
- Log in using your Google Drive credentials.
- Select your Google Drive Folder Structure:
- All documents in one folder copies files into a single folder.
- Copy your folder structure from Hubdoc creates folders in Google Drive following the same folder structure from Hubdoc.
To disconnect Google Drive from your organisation:
- Open your Hubdoc organisation.
- Click the settings icon, then select the Integrations tab.
- Under Cloud Storage, next to the Google Drive logo, click Disconnect.
Change the Google Drive folder destination
Change the location that Hubdoc syncs to in Google Drive.
The Google drive integration can only connect to personal Google drive folders. It's not currently possible to connect to shared team folders.
You can only select from Google Drive folders you have created and own. If you want to connect to a folder which another user has shared with you, ask the owner of that Google Drive folder to follow these steps instead.
In Google Drive:
- Log in to Google Drive (Google website).
- Find and open the folder you want to set as the destination for your Hubdoc documents.
- From the web address bar, copy the URL after '/folders/'. This is the folder ID.
In Hubdoc:
- Open your Hubdoc organisation.
- Click the settings icon, then select the Integrations tab.
- Under your Google Drive account, click Change.
- In the Destination Folder field, paste the folder ID copied from Google Drive.
- Click Update to save your changes.
