Set up or manage Hubdoc email forwarding

Overview

  • Forward documents from Hubdoc to specified email addresses automatically, or select individual documents to forward.

How it works

Forward documents from Hubdoc to a specific email address to keep clients or other interested parties informed. You can set this up to forward documents automatically for chosen suppliers.

To do this, you need to add an email forwarding address and set up email forwarding for that supplier. 

You can forward documents to multiple email addresses.

Add or remove an email forwarding address

To add a forwarding email address:

  1. On the Hubdoc dashboard, click the settings icon Settings submenu in Hubdoc., then select the Integrations tab.
  2. Under Email Forwarding, enter the email address to forward documents to.
  3. Click add.

The email address shows under Current Addresses. Documents will only be forwarded to this address if you've selected email forwarding for that supplier by following the instructions below.

To remove an email forwarding address, click remove next to the relevant address.

Manage email forwarding for suppliers

Once you've added a forwarding email address, you'll need to select the supplier you want documents forwarded from and choose if you'd like them to be automatically sent each time you publish a document from that supplier.

To select the supplier connections to enable email forwarding for:

  1. On the Hubdoc dashboard, click the settings icon Settings submenu in Hubdoc..
  2. On the Manage Accounts tab, click on the supplier to enable email forwarding for.
  3. Under Integrations, select the Forward to email addresses checkbox.
  4. (Optional) Select the Auto-send checkbox to automatically send all documents for this supplier to the forwarding email address.
  5. Under Addresses, select All or the specific email addresses to forward documents to.
  6. Click Save Changes.

Forward an individual document

You can forward an individual document to an email address if you haven't set up automatic document forwarding for that supplier.

  1. Open the document you want to forward.
  2. Under Destinations, click Email Forwarding.
  3. Under Addresses, select All or the specific email addresses to forward the document to.
  4. Click Publish.
