Turn off QuickBooks Account Codes
To turn off the account codes in Hubdoc that are being pulled in from QuickBooks Online, follow these instructions:
In Quickbooks:
- Click the Gear icon in the top right corner
- If you have a QBO Company account: click Account and Settings under the Your Company heading.
If you have an QBO Accountant account: click Company Settings under the Settings heading. - Click Advanced.
- Click the pencil icon next to Chart of Accounts to edit the setting.
- Uncheck the option to Enable account numbers.
- Click Save.
- Click Done.
- Disconnect and reconnect QuickBooks Online from Hubdoc.
Sometimes a third party can add account codes to the Chart of Accounts even if they were never manually added. If the account codes still appear in Hubdoc after completing the previous steps, follow these instructions:
- Click on Accounting in the left navigation bar to navigate to the Chart of Accounts.
- Locate the account from the list.
- Click the drop down menu icon under the ACTION column.
- Select Edit from the dropdown.
- Remove the account number from the Name field.
- Click Save.
- Disconnect and reconnect QuickBooks Online from Hubdoc.
This will remove all codes from your Chart of Accounts.
