Set default tax rates for new documents

Overview

  • If you’ve set up tax rates in your QuickBooks Online organisation, select the default tax rates to apply to new documents in Hubdoc. 

If you’ve set up tax rates in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) organisation, Hubdoc imports the tax rates when you first connect your Hubdoc organisation to QBO. Once connected, you can select the default tax rate to apply to all new documents in Hubdoc:

  1. On the Hubdoc dashboard, click the settings icon.
  2. Select the Integrations tab.
  3. Next to the QBO integration, select the Publish tax data checkbox. 
  4. Select the Default tax rate and Default tax exempt rate.
  5. If you want to specify the payment method when publishing expenses to QBO, select the Show Payment Method Field checkbox.
  6. Close the dialog box.

If the default tax rate doesn't apply for a specific document, you can manually change it at the document level.
